Venue Hire & Event Facilities

The WRHC has two event facilities situated on the same premises as our church. The facilities are ideal for most social events including: Weddings, Birthday parties, Christenings, Conventions, Meetings, Concerts, etc.

DIMITRION HALL

The larger of the two halls.

Capacity: 350 to 370 guests, seated.

Venue Hire: R6 000 per day

Full kitchen hire: R2 000 per day includes:

  • 2 industrial ovens
  • High pressure 3 burner gas stove
  • Large working counters
  • 3 meter under counter fridge
  • Dishwashing facilities


ST. ANDREW’S HALL

The smaller of the two halls.

Capacity: 100 to 120 guests, seated.

Venue Hire: R4 000 per day includes:

  • Small kitchenette available
  • High pressure 3 burner gas stove
  • Small domestic oven
  • Chest freezer
  • 3 meter under counter fridge
  • 1 upright cool drink fridge


Equipment and facilities (excluded in the venue hire)

Ample parking adjacent to the venue

The following items may be hired at an additional cost:

  • Table cloths available in 3 colours: black, white and blue at R45.00 each
  • Crockery: Dinner plates, side plates, dessert bowls, coffee cups and saucers at R2.00 per piece
  • Cutlery: Knives, forks, dessert spoons and teaspoons at R2.00 per piece

Please note: If your caterers are using their own cutlery and crockery, then the hire of our cutlery and crockery will not be allowed (to avoid mixing and swapping).

You are requested to turn off your sound systems at 11:00PM (Weekends), 10:00PM (Weekdays) in order not to disturb the neighbourhood.

Payment

The full amount is payable within 7 days from date of confirmation in order to secure the venue for a particular date. Please note this is a NON REFUNDABLE AND NON TRANSFERABLE transaction.

A day before the function a cash deposit if R1 000 is payable. This amount will be refunded the day after the function, provided the facilities and equipment are left in the same condition as before use. 

Notes:

  • We do not provide any form of catering but you are welcome to arrange your own
  • There is no bar facility, however alcohol is permitted on the premises. You may provide your own.
  • All decor and equipment must be removed by 12:00PM the following day

Terms and Conditions
  • No nails, glue, adhesives or prestik may be applied on walls
  • No ceiling boards may be touched for hanging accessories or other purposes
  • Care should be taken that the stage curtains in the Dimitrion Hall are not touched or removed in any way.
  • All sound systems to be turned off at 11:00PM (Weekends), 10:00PM (Weekdays) in order not to disturb the neighbourhood.
